Wellington Park

Named after the Duke of Wellington, Wellington Park is a raised garden with stone paving and a number of pergolas providing residents and visitors a place to relax during the day.

Sitting in the middle of the park is a statue of the Duke of Wellington. It originally stood in the Tower of London but was moved to the Royal Arsenal in 1863 as the Duke had been the “Master of General of Ordnance” between 1818-1827. On the 16th June 2005, King Charles attended Royal Arsenal Riverside to rededicate it to its new position and officially open the park.
